We’ll have lunch at Canoe Bay before a short stroll to the cliff top to take in the view. WEEKEND DAY TRIPS
Hobart is spoilt by having some of the world's best sea kayaking at its doorstep! Every weekend throughout summer we offer a day trip to let you experience the best of the south east's waterways (see D'Entrecasteaux Channel & Bruny Island).
Most of these trips are suitable for first time kayakers and are the perfect next step after our beginner lesson. We paddle mostly in protected waters and cover distances of 10 to 15 kilometres.
Some favorites include; the Iron Pot Lighthouse, Port Arthur, Fortescue Bay and anything on Bruny Island.
Pricing structure
On the weekends we reduce our prices to attract greater local participation. We can do this by having you provide your own food and transport. Participants with their own sea kayak receive a further discount of $20 per day (Note: Kayaks must meet our safety standards). If you really get the paddling bug then joining Roaring 40's frequent paddling club will save you even more!
